Laboratory

Since the managers of Polymer Pars Company, a manufacturer of PVC and polyethylene pipes and fittings, not only as a manufacturer, but also as a consumer and a member of society, believe in the necessity of cooperating with the Standards Administration as the only official organization for controlling and supervising the development of standards in quality matters, in 1999 they took the first steps towards realizing cooperation with this institution and began their mission to improve the quality of products by receiving the ISO 17025 certificate. Since they believe that "quality is an endless prospect", they took a step on the endless path of continuous growth and improvement of quality.

The laboratory in the factory is like the immune system in the body of living beings. Just as the immune system prevents the body from weakness and disease by identifying microbes and viruses, the laboratory also identifies, corrects, destroys or neutralizes the gaps and shortcomings that occur in the production process by equipment and machinery or human resources.

Therefore, the laboratory is one of the main and inseparable elements of a production complex, and its absence results in irreparable social, economic losses on a regional and even national scale, and leaves behind numerous material and moral losses resulting from the neglect of high quality, especially goods used in infrastructure construction. Therefore, constant research and innovation in various fields of quality control and dynamic communication with the General Standards Offices are among the daily and continuous activities of the Pars Polymer Laboratory.

Some of the laboratory activities are as follows:

  1. Testing pipes sent by government organizations, especially the Urban Water Supply Organization, Rural Water Supply Organization, and Agricultural Jihad.
  2. Testing pipes sent from various customers, contractors, agriculture, construction, and manufacturing plants.
  3. Testing electrical pipes (electrical conductor protection) sent from all over the country.
  4. ISO17025 standard certificate.
  5. Training laboratory personnel and quality control of other polymer pipe manufacturing plants by providing a letter of introduction from the Standards Office and consulting with them, as well as training students introduced by the Industry Relations Office of universities throughout the country.

Some of the tests performed in Polymerpars Laboratory:

  1. Hydrostatic test: Performing short and long-term pressure tests on P.E. and P.V.C. pipes
  2. Vicat test: Determining the softening temperature of U.P.V.C. pipes
  3. Heat recovery test: This test is performed on P.E. and U.P.V.C. pipes to ensure proper production.
  4. Tensile test: This test is performed on P.E. and U.P.V.C. pipes in gutter and telecommunication applications.
  5. MFR test: Melt flow index for raw materials and P.E. pipes
  6. Soot percentage test: The amount of soot allowed for P.E. pipes is measured by an electric furnace.
  7. Soot dispersion test: How the allowed soot is distributed in P.E. pipes is examined by a microscope.
  8. OIT test: Oxidation time of P.E pipes, as well as identification of polymer materials and gelation percentage of UP.V.C are determined.
  9. Ring stiffness test: Measurement of ring stiffness for double-walled P.E pipes and UP.V.C pipes and fittings.
  10. ESCR test: Measurement of resistance of lateral irrigation P.E pipes against chemicals.
  11. Test on electrical pipes according to standard 3450-2-2.
  12. Impact test: The test is performed clockwise for double-walled P.E pipes and UP.V.C pipes.

Polymerpars Company was established by Mr. Hossein Kashani in Shiraz in 1992. Simultaneously with the completion of infrastructure including facilities, buildings, and installation and commissioning of German-made machinery, it began its extensive presence in the Iranian market in 1994.
